Mandatory parent/guardian meeting at Kentwood High School September 1, 2010 at 7:00pm in the Main Gym.  Every player must have a parent/guardian representing them at this meeting.

Your help is needed for the tradition of the Varsity pre-game meals.  All levels of parents can get involved in this time honored tradition.  This is a great way to get to know the players and provide them with a great meal before their games. If you are not able to prepare meals, you can also donate to help offset the costs of bread, bananas, plates, cups, plastic forks.  Please click here to go to the goconks.com web site to sign-up and get further information on pre-game meals.

The Booster Club has some important positions open!  In order to continue to support our team in the manner which they are used to, we need some volunteer positions filled for this year.  We would appreciate your consideration of the following jobs.

 Pre-Game Meal Coordinator:  We have had a wonderful pre-game meal coordinator (Janene Mapes) that has been such an asset to our program making the pre-game meal system a smooth running machine.   Her son is a senior this year and we are in need of someone to assist her this year, learn the ropes, and then take on this position next year.  It is the perfect opportunity to see how this system works, and get to know all the boys, on all levels of our football team.  If you are interested, please contact Janene at pregamemeals@gmail.com   

Team Parent:  We are also in need of team parents for the Sophomore, Junior and Seniors.  This is a really important position!  You are the liaison between the team and the board would attend board and general membership meetings to relay any questions or concerns.  You are also in charge of the Gatorade and Granola Bars and bringing them to each game and handing them out at the end of every game.  It is ideal to have several team parents for each team so the tasks can be divided.  Ideally, we like to have two from each grade and then figure out where your son will play the most, to see if it works best for you to be JV or Varsity team parent.

To all who helped with this years Booster Club BBQ!  A lot of time and effort was put into making this event a success and we could not have done it without everyone’s contribution!  The tradition of the Kentwood Football Booster Club are big shoes to fill and we are off to a great start!!!  Many thanks to everyone for all their help, before, during and after the event!  We look forward to this 2010 football season! 

And a special thank you to Jomar Cordero of Costco who donated a BBQ for us to use during the BBQ!
